My unit worked on arrival but within 10 uses stopped working. Same error as everyone else – cuff tube not inserted properly (which it is). It’s too bad that some companies do their product testing in the field like this. This experience may ‘prevent’ me from purchasing a Prevention product again.

In November 2008 I originally wrote a review stating that this item was defective upon arrival. The air pressure feed was totally non-functional due to a broken hose inside the unit.

In Jan 2009, I received a replacement unit from the manufacturer, which did function OK, and has continued to function.

I am reasonably satisfied with the item. It’s compact, the interface is useful, and the measurement speed is acceptable. I think the blood pressure measurements are reasonably accurate, to within about 3-4 mmHg units.

My three star rating is for the overall experience. I would have given it a four-star rating, except for the first defective one I received. (I originally rated it a “1 star” before getting the replacement.)

Dead out of the box. Not that difficult to repair but it shouldn’t be necessary on a new item. Lifetime warranty only if you are willing to pay two way shipping of $10 – $15. If you’re in the market look elsewhere.

Junk…right out of the box! Same problem all the others are having unit will not inflate. The manufacturer wants me to pay shipping to return brand new unit that has a “lifetime” warranty. Don’t waste your money!!
